Bonus Feature Cliché Lookout: Huh…
Okay, so the comic is getting into territory you’re not likely to find on most DVD/Blu Ray bonus features. This was bound to happen, so don’t panic.
Done panicking? Good.
So our conspiracy is growing, but they’re not too good at the whole clandestine thing. Keeping everything under wraps is something most successful conspiracies strive for.
About This Episode:
So that water cooler probably isn’t the most inspired build, but for some reason I really like it.
The white balance is fixed on this episode, but the next two episodes of the regular comic are still off. I shoot these things on different schedules to minimize the amount of time I spend on setting up and tearing down sets, so sometimes one comic gets a buffer built up ahead of the other. Fun with production schedules.
It’s a bit bulky but that is a magnificent representation of a water cooler! 😀 I think you also meant to use ‘cooler’ in place of ‘color’! 😀
Now if only Cheryl got the true implications of that signage! 😀
Oops. Yeah, that’s a typo. *fixed*
The first thing I noticed about this particular episode was how awesome the water cooler was!
Damn straight! That’s one fine looking water cooler.
Brilloiant, a bonus feature which normal companies don’t like showing!
I get the feeling there’s a story starting to develop now. It’s almost like they’re two comics with two seperate-yet-related stories.
Mind you, there’s an easy fix to this; find one of the zombies and give them an invite. The zombie will eat the minifigs that want to take down BotD.
hehe, I also think that a couple of Zombies are going to invite themselves to the party.
Hah, you never can tell.
Yep, there’s definitely a story brewing here. Intrigue!
Haha, hilarious !
Your water cooler is not bad… *Gloorp!* hem excuse me, I was just pouring myself a glass… what was I saying?
It’s a NPU, you sure have a thing for garbage cans!
Hah, I just love LEGO containers in general. Garbage cans, bins, boxes, buckets, etc. I have no idea why.
So, the crew has gone Blade Runner?
Hah. I hadn’t really thought about it that way…
I loved the movie and the book. What am I missing here?
I think he’s talking about the employees created specifically for a task getting minds of their own and going rouge. In this case, I created the minifigs for the comic, but now they’ve got their own ideas.
Actually, I’m talking about the crew to Blade Runner hating Ridley Scott’s guts and letting him know it.
I really like the simplicity of the first scene. The colors are beautiful and when Cheryl comes into the scene, the blue of her slacks really blend well. I’m not sure if that is what you were going for but it looks really beautiful.
The exact opposite, actually. I wanted to use red walls because I wanted it to look really bright and non-corporate, and I wanted to use Cheryl, but I was worried about the contrast of Cheryl’s red shirt against the walls. Being color blind I just sort of did it anyway and hoped for the best. Glad it worked out.
you’re colour blind? Wow I had no idea…
I love the cooler build. Very well done.
Thanks!
Yeah, this is something that’s probably significant…
Maybe a bit. Hard to say.
Very interesting water cooler design! I must try it some time…
I got a nice close-up shot in the second panel, so it should be pretty easy to reproduce.
This is a weird conspiracy.
Hah, that it is.
I don’t wanna make anyone feel as if they aren’t doing enough for the zombie apocalypse but… I have just recently began exercising, long walks and jogs, to become more fit for any sort of scenario. Now the over all real reason for it is because I’m over weight, and I need to lose weight. Reason I bring this up is.. Who else uses “Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse” As motivation to get fit?
that is a good idea Calicade.
I think I will use your method.
i do thats why i run after school do push ups and lift wieghts
I did this when I was going to the gym regularly. I need to start again because I’m getting pretty tubby these days.
I row. Does that count?
i love the bonus features and i need to learn how to make that water cooler
the water cooler is a super simply build. The container is upside down. If you look at panel two you should be able to figure out what I did.
I love that water cooler! Nice job (even for its simply-ness).
Thank you! I don’t know why, but I’m really happy with that model. I saved it after I disassembled the rest of the scene. You never know when you’ll need a water cooler.
