There’s a lot of zombie stuff out there, and most of it is crap. People like to jump on bandwagons and produce quick tie-ins rather than investing love and effort into their creations. Luckily for you, I’m here to help separate the wheat from the chaff. Check back every Thursday, when I’m going to share the coolest zombie-related creation I can find out there on the web.
This week’s creation, “They Are Coming…” from CD Stone, was another of my favorite from the 16×16 Challenge. It’s a pretty solid build, but my favorite thing about it is that it tells a bit of a story. Outside the house, there’s chaos on the streets as zombies attack and are taken out by survivors, but inside a man is panicked and along. He’s frozen by fear. It’s just a fantastic scene.
This guy is what pushed this creation over the top for me. The way the shot is staged and the expression on his face are both absolutely perfect. Sure, he’s got a big gun and a bandoleer full of shells, but this is not a man who’s confident in his survival.
Outside a survivor takes out one zombie, but several others are right on its heals. It’s hard to win a game of attrition with a horde of zombies.
Finally, here’s a nice cross-section of the build. CD Stone really embraced the destruction theme with a lot of little elements here. I love the torn up floorboards and the sidewalk that’s falling apart. Nicely done. Also, I really like how this photo was taken on top of a notebook. I don’t know why, I just think it looks cool.

Wow I feel very honored to be on here! Thanks for all the kind words! I, unfortunately, don’t use the notebooks anymore. I got a lot of complaints about it and likes about it. In the end I found something else for my background. Thanks again for featuring me on here 🙂

I’m not sure why people complained about the notebook. I thought it looked cool. Different strokes, I suppose.
I was really impressed with this creation. The photography is spot on and so is the space usage. A great vignette in all aspects.
If I were to make 1 suggestion, it would be to replace the gun for a BrickArm one – this one looks a bit too sci-fi to me (is it the Alien Conquest one?).
Thanks! I, for some reason, don’t own any Brickarms etc. The gun is a combination of a pistol from A, a minifig hand (for a grip), and a pair of bionculars. So it isn’t fully AC but I thought it looked like a pretty good shotgun design. Thanks again for the comment!
Heyyy, that’s a clever design, really. I am a real sucker with guns so I’m always impress by people who are able to come up with these innovative combinations of pieces.
I love the headshot and the red hands of the other zombies. Very creative!
Pfft…. I hadn’t noticed the notebook until it was pointed out.
This one is very good and to me, if the MOC must feature zombies, was one of the better ones that I liked.
