  1. Zombie Cliche Lookout: The Safe Zone
Zombie stories always have the work of the Police and Armed Forces tied into it somehow, whether they are overrun in a few days or left the people that need their help for dead, this is always an interesting scene to set up the story for further development.

Discussion Question: If You Were In Charge
Put yourself in the position of the Police or Military leader. With a safe-zone set up, which is failing quickly, with scores of people dead from sickness and starvation, what would you decide to do?
Stand to protect the civilians to the end? Or would you leave the safe-zone in search of a better place for your troops?

  2. I’m always a bit dubious of so called safe zones. Should the zombie infection start, the last place I’d want to be is with hundreds or possibly thousands of other survivors.

I’m convinced small groups that can travel in a few vehicles would work much better

    • What about travelling in Military vehicles? A good idea or a waste of fuel?

  3. I would do my job and protect until the benefits stopped outweighing the cost. Basically, I would do whatever would save the most people in the long run.

    • Safe Zones would have a great deal of school buses, coaches and Army transport trucks. Moving people away from cities would seem like a good idea, until the rations run out and people have no food.
