Well, better get used to the impossible fast, or you’ll be joining their ranks1 😀 I guess Ep. 2, whenever it might come out, if it will come out at all, would involve learning how to stop zombies and maybe stop this zombie outbreak for good. 😀
Episode 2 is indeed already edited (see comment below). I’ll ask Dave, when the project is done, if he is interested in making it a downloadable version of the full comic (should be available before this summer).
I also do not forget I still have to send the LDD files you asked for. Should be done next week I think.
Thanks for commenting on The Roaming Bricks. Appreciate it 😉
Thanks, but regarding the LDD files, I was wondering if you were going to host them on a public site for all to download if they wished? It’s not a problem if it’s too hard to find a decent site, but I’m not sure what Dave has already said is possible. Therefore, I don’t mind having to wait if you need to set up a public site where a lot of people could download the files, rather than you sending them out to a few individuals as an email attachment. 😀
I think it would benefit all who wanted them, anyway, as downloading from a site, provided it’s set up properly to handle downloads, is way easier than bulky email attachments, even with today’s high speed internet connections. There are also file sharing utilities that some people use, not that I use them much myself as there is some risk of trojans hitching a ride.
Also, with the comics themselves, wouldn’t it be simpler and easier to host them on an image sharing site? Or a site you set up or rent from someone to handle the downloads. It’s not that I’m bothered with it, but I find it preferable to download from a properly set up site, rather than to have to get them via email or file sharing utilities, as I said in my other post.
This is something I have to figure out… I’m still considering all the options. Each have pros and cons… If I’m to run a website, I feel like I’ll need to update it to provide visitors something worthy every time. Considering my slow paced way of working (I needed 2 years so far for a mere 50 pages…) I think readers will not stick with the project. On the other hand emailing or stuff like that also has its limit, I’ll give you that… That’s why I loved being featured on Dave’s website….
And this is it… Final episode of “The Roaming Brick : The Fall of Leggodt City”.
First I wanna thank Dave (once again… 🙂 ) for giving me the opportunity to show you guys my own work, and I really hope you enjoyed reading those few pages as much as I put my heart and time into it.
I had the chance to put myself into a webcomic runner’s shoes for 3 weeks and I really now know why I… won’t be able to do that on such a long run as Dave is doing it…(Not to mention all the contents he adds to his website… Crazy!).
So this has been a real treat for me, answering your comments, getting some feedbacks… Thank you everyone, I truly appreciate every piece of your posts (quite easy cause they’re all nice)!
The episode that just ended today is the first chapter of a 6 total episodes comic I’m nearly done editing (well 5 chapters are done, 6th is a work in progress right now). The comic is scheduled to be finished somewhere between march or June 2016.
For those asking, I started the episode you read on February 2014… yeah… 2 years ago…
I’ll now make way for Dave, I hope he got a shot a taking some rest, enjoying some free time, family time… I wish you guys didn’t think the time was too long without him here 😉
Thank you for the hard work you put into this piece pi3rk! I think you did a remarkable job, in particular considering that it is your first comic.
Thanks for the kind words Greg.
It’s indeed my 1st comic, but to be fair I trained a bit before really kick things off. And the episode you just read was re-edition from last year. I’m kind of a perfectionism…
I’m happy that you have a big and enthusiastic audience for your comic! Especially considering all the hard work you have put into it, and still are putting in to it! I hope the rest will be published in a timely fashion too! Because it simply is a great story to read. I am honored to be in the position to have read it already (and I will provide you with feedback this weekend 😉 )!
Thanks a lot FL. This has been a great experience for me indeed and I’m considering several options about how this trip should goes one. I may soon ask for advice from you about technical aspects about making this happen.
As you being without a doubt my #1 fan, I thank you again for all the precious feedback.
Now to all you guys following BotD, take a look at Foolish Lego, this is tremendous stuff.
Nice work on the comic, pretty impressive to hear how long you have been going at it… well done.
Good opening chapter for your comic, would be cool to see the rest 🙂
Thank you Mad for the nice feedbacks. I’m looking for the best way to make the whole comic available, once the 6th and final chapter is edited. One way or another, you’ll be able to see the rest.
Dave,
I’m giving you your keys back… This site is all yours again! I hope you enjoyed the rest, I guess you’ll be back tomorrow 😉
Thanks again for the opportunity of making me a webcomic writer for 3 weeks 😉
