Zombie Short Fiction

Like zombies? Like short stories? Like not paying for things? Well this page is the perfect storm for you; we’re featuring free zombie fiction from some of the best writers working in the industry today.

There might not be a ton here yet (quality over quantity is how I like to spin it), but this is just the beginning.

“The Pilot” is a short story featured in a larger collection called Perspectives by bestselling zombie author Bryan James. If you like it, please leave a quick review on Amazon and have a peak at some of his other work here which includes Perspectives in its entirety for free. Thank you Bryan James for offering up this free short story for BricksoftheDead.com! Read “The Pilot” now!

“For Elise” was originally published in 2012 for the Hunger Pangs: Dark Confessions Anthology by MayDay Collective Press. It was written by Bricks of the Dead‘s own Evan, who somehow found the time while also going to school full time and writing loads of great reviews, building awesome MOCs, conducting interviews, and generally being a great guy. Read “For Elise” now!

“Grace Period” comes to us from D.L. Snell, who wrote one of our favorites: Pavlov’s Dogs. I won’t spoil the one, let’s just say it will have you hooked by the end of the first sentence. Read “Grace Period” now!

  1. Interesting. I’m going to check out The Pilot on Amazon now. I really dig the blood-spattered icons under connect with us. Very cool.

    • Thanks!

  2. Im going to florida tomorrow, and I just read the Pilot… Im a bit worried. Also, don’t you find it interesting that there were no air marshals aboard? I guess this could have been on… No Canada has air marshals. Why do you think this is?
