  1. “zie je ann do poort”… I think you meand to write: “Ik zie je aan de poort!” Or something like that (See you at the gate).
Nice touch using real Dutch! 🙂

So, now there is a ship floating around… with a few (really) dead bodies… and a very, very dangerous pipe on board. I hope no-one ever gets on board and takes that pipe!

    • I think I was going for something like “Godspeed.” I could tell that “see you at the gate” was the basic translation, but I didn’t know enough to catch the errors.

      • Ah okay, “godspeed” would be more like “Veel succes” or “veel geluk”.

To be honest I liked this goodbye as “ik zie je aan de poort.” At first I didn’t understand the remark. Reading the rest of the episode I thought you were going for something like: “We’ll meet again at the gates of heaven”…. “We zien elkaar weer bij de hemelpoort.”
        Loved that ominous goodbye!

        • I corrected it in the version that will go up on my page after things finish up on BotD. At least the Dutch will be right then. I know that poort means “gate,” but I kinda like that it’s reminiscent of “port”…it keeps with the nautical theme 😉
