Often played for comedy (zomedy, in this case) running away is always a part of surviving in zombie apocalypse. Meathead characters will want to fight through all their problems, but the more intelligent ones will recognize that discretion is the better part of valor.

That’s just some really bad shot composition on my part. He’s directly behind Sam; if you look closely you can see his red hat between Sam and Cheryl’s heads.
