Zombie Cliché Lookout:
What’s the easiest way to give a character depth? Simple, make him angsty and unable to sleep. You’ve instantly got a character with some sort of secret, but what? Perhaps they betrayed the group, maybe they’re hiding a bite, or perhaps they’re weighing a difficult decision that could have disastrous consequences down the line. We won’t know until it’s revealed, and the writers just love milking those secrets for everything they’re worth, sometimes even beyond the point where the audience is still going to care once all is revealed.
