Those are some pretty awesome medbay pods! 😀 Have you ever considered doing a series on set design? 🙂
Thank you!
As for a series on set design, What do you mean?
I mean, did it take a lot of planning and figuring out where logical parts of the unfolding drama would happen, or did you do it by making it as you needed it? Usually a set is constructed to a particular scale, I would imagine you had to figure out where the door would come into the pod room, and had everything scaled accordingly. Is it hard to visualize where everything should be? How do you go about that?
Ah yes. I see.
Yeah I had some of the story in mind but not all of it. Some of the story I created as I was building sets. It was highly unorganized the way I went about it. I spent an absurd amount of time on areas you’ll never even see because there was no reason to photograph it.
In hindsight, I should have plotted out the story better and built from that alone.
@ Evan
Great post… As the creator of this comic you might sometimes be frustrated because you had to make tough choices while, well, you just want to show us the whole thing you built… But you choose the story first!
And over the pride of showing your readers what you absolulty should be proud of (yeah your sets are amazing, yeah your lightning technique is great), you made the choice to respect the story the most…
The drawings, the buildings, they are just here to serve the story. If you realized that with this comic you created, I think you learnt the most important thing about telling a story… IMO
Pi3rK that is very nice of you to say that. Many thanks my friend!
Ah great building again… Nice Lab we have here! 1st and last panel are great shots. I really like the angle you took on last panel.
