LEGO Zombie Creation: Our Ice Cream Brings All the Zombies to the Yard

There’s a lot of zombie stuff out there, and most of it is crap. People like to jump on bandwagons and produce quick tie-ins rather than investing love and effort into their creations. Luckily for you, I’m here to help separate the wheat from the chaff. Check back every Thursday, when I’m going to share the coolest zombie-related creation I can find out there on the web.

The Zombie Creation:

This week’s LEGO Zombie creation, “Our Ice Cream Brings All the Zombies to the Yard” by Minifig Nick, is a pretty strange one, but that’s just the sort of thing we can expect from Minifig Nick.

So What’s Going On?

Looking at this creation, my immediate first reaction is: what’s in that ice cream? My guess is that it’s some sort of frozen soylent green-style treat, otherwise why would all those zombies line up so patiently?

Otherwise, I really like the dark whimsy of this creation. It’s cute, but also a bit unsettling, which is an interesting balance.

Let’s Talk About the Zombies

These zombies are a little different than the ones we’re used to seeing. Generally we’d be talking about fast versus slow, but in this case the zombies seem to be quite a bit more complex. They work menial jobs, recognize the value of money, and know how to use it. Of course dropping a hundred bucks on ice cream isn’t the soundest of monetary policy, but they are zombies so let’s give them some latitude (also, the only LEGO money denomination available is the c-note0.
