There’s a lot of zombie stuff out there, and most of it is crap. People like to jump on bandwagons and produce quick tie-ins rather than investing love and effort into their creations. Luckily for you, I’m here to help separate the wheat from the chaff. Check back every Thursday, when I’m going to share the coolest zombie-related creation I can find out there on the web.
The Zombie Creation:
This week’s LEGO Zombie creation, “The Lowlands” by {Freestyle101}, which – to be completely fair – is much more of a post-apocalyptic (Apocalego, if you will) creation than a zombie build. Of course, there’s a great deal of cross-over between the two, so I think it’s completely fair to use, even if there aren’t any zombies in the creation, per se.
So What’s Going On?
Like a lot of the creations I feature here, this one includes a neat little short story to expand on the build. We have a protagonist who is scouting out a swampy lowland area (hence the title), and spots in the distance the distinct glare of sunlight reflecting across the faceplate of a gas mask (worn by scouts), but there is no body to be found.
Creepy, right?
Let’s Talk About the Zombies
While there are no zombies in the creation itself, one has to wonder what happened to the missing scout. A lot of things could have certainly happened to him, but because this is Bricks of the Dead, I’m going to pull a Giorgio Tsoukalos and go ahead and assume zombies are responsible here.
It’s the only reasonable explanation for a person disappearing in a dangerous, remote location.
Have you seen a great zombie creation out on the web? Are you working on the next great zombie MOC as we speak? Well you had better let us know right away, otherwise we’ll never be able to include it here.
I like the build of that concrete structure, the way the builder has made it look damaged and weathered is excellent.
And is that an RPG on the minifigs back?!?!
I think it is, Mad.
