Zombie Cliche Lookout: Coming Heavy

When you’re about to meet some people you don’t know if you can trust, and also have to be careful of a zombie attack, it’s generally smart to bring the biggest, meanest bastard in your group with you. Now, I say generally because a lot of this is going to depend on the personality of your group’s tough guy. With someone that tends to be calm, this is an easy win. But if your tough guy is also the type that’s easy to upset, then you’ll need to put a little more thought into things. I mean, the last thing you want is to lose a potential ally because one of your group is having a roid rage moment.

About this Episode:

And we’re introducing new characters again. I always find that awkward because I need to have characters introduce each other. Usually there’s a short period where the readers don’t know these characters’ names, which leads to fun situations where commenters have to say “The woman with the blue shirt” instead of “Mary”. This time, I’m handling that straight away.

Other News:

Hey everyone, I’m going to be traveling for work (starting yesterday) for the rest of the week. That means I won’t be responding to comments for a bit. I’ll do my best to catch up when I get back. In the meantime, please chat among yourselves and find all the typos.

Discussion Question: Picking the Away Team

For the purpose of today’s discussion question, I’m going to assume you’ve given some thought to your zombie survival plans, and have a rough idea of the people you hope to be teaming up with. Put that group in the same situation as the group from the comic. You need to send two people out to meet another group that you don’t really trust. What is your selection criteria, and why?

  1. Typo alert: “I mean, the last thing you want is to lose a potential ally because one of your group is have a roid rage moment.” remove “is have” and replace with whatever you intended to put there! 😀

“tough guys”, in the sentence before the above one: guys–>guy

I hope Dave’s not traveling whilst doing the write-ups, these are relatively simple typos! 😀

  2. Personal, for my “away team” I’d go with the best negotiator (want someone who can talk there way out of a situation) and the SECOND best fighter (most of these situations go bad, but the opposition also tries to take the home base, so it’s best to have your heavy hitter in reserve. Just in case).

  3. Personally, I think the plumber is a good choice, if the s**t hits the fan. 😀
