Anytime you work on a big project involving lots of people and equipment (movies, TV shows, plays, gangbangs, etc), you need to get an insurance company involved. Not only is there a danger of damaging expensive equipment, but you also have to worry about any liability should cast or crew members get injured on the job. This goes double if your safety record is woefully inadequate.

I’ll be posting the review intro for this week’s The Walking Dead early again, that way anyone who’s interested in discussing the show live can do so. Look out for it a little before 9:00 PM Eastern on Sunday.

  1. Where’d you get the hair piece from?

And what he doesn’t know, can’t hurt him…

Since I’m West Coast, I’ll be getting to watch the show later, so I’ll skip as I don’t want spoilers.

    • the hair of the lawyer dude? it’s from obi-wan kenobi

      • I love the hair and have been wanting to use it for a while now. I don’t even know where I got it; probably a birthday or Christmas present, as I pick up very few Star Wars sets.

        • Kenobi hair… I shall have to look into a Star Wars set or something then….

        • Thank you Silver Fox!!!!

    • Damn you West coasters! 🙂

That is the fundamental flaw in the live blog/open comments on things like this. If I was in your shoes I’d be skipping it as well.

  2. is this the same set as the zombie wrangler guy was in? it looks like it

    • He’s still in it. Not much left of him though.

      • Indeed so. It would seem that the zombies managed to escape somehow. Unsafe working conditions and all that.

        • But… the insurance will cover it, right?

        • It would really come down to your umbrella or “act’s of God” clauses.

But if you’re in Florida or California….don’t count on it!

        • “That… that was a turn of events.”

          “A turn of events?”

  3. Hah, I imagine that Insurance is a pain when it comes to zombies.

    • Indeed. I’m looking forward to ZombieMutts weighing in on the subject (he works suffers in insurance).

      FIXED

      • Fixed that comment for you Dave.

        • That’s a solid correction.

  4. Heh. My dad’s in insurance, and that looks like him if he still had red/orange hair… I bet HE never got to work with zombies…

    • That’s pretty funny.

Your dad is probably pretty glad he never had to work with zombies.

      • Man…I have never had to bite my tongue so much……

        Almost unfair…

        • Hah!

      • I think almost anyone with a white-collar job has to work with zombies…

        • 🙂

        • Yeah, that’s a good point right there.

        • Pfft, I put on the white collar just so that the ol’ high school feels less like a zombie holding pen.

        • Hah, that sounds like a good idea, Lich. I worked in a school district for a couple years. I don’t know how you do it.

  5. That is the greatest hair of all time. Reminds me of Saul Goodman!

    • Wow, it totally reminds me of Saul Goodman now that you mention it.

      • He does has some pretty swanky hair. It looks as if it’s made of soft squishy material, is it?

P.S. I love the word swanky.

        • It does feel a bit different from the standard ABS hair, yeah.

        • Like the Mad scientist hair?

        • If I’m remember correctly. I’m going to have check it out tonight because now I’m second guessing myself.

  6. Oh my! That poor wrangler. I bet PETZ is behind this…
Oh well, I love the idea of someone actually giving them insurance for this! The premium would be as tall as Mata Nui (10million ft).

Oh man, I wanna know what’as in the bucket!

    • Yeah, the premium would be ungodly. I’d assume it’d be a third or forth rate insurance company too.

    • yay! The PETZ joke is alive!

      • I’m not promising anything, but this joke might end up in a bonus features comic. The group would have to be renamed though, since PETZ is right out of Dead Rising 2.

        • Oh dang it…really? Never heard of that game….

          *shamles off to amazon*

        • It’s pretty fun, but not something I could really dive into. It’s one of those “I’ve got a half-hour to kill, let’s destroy some zeds” kind of games.

        • wait…is that the free zombie game sony was offering for the hacking issue? If so I do have that but haven’t turned on my PS3 since I installed it.

        • No, that was something else. I’m blanking on the name. It wasn’t great though, fun for a bit but super repetitive.

        • Just looked it up…

          Dead Nation

          Thats what it is…

        • Yep, that’s it. I actually just deleted it last night. My kid kept saying the background picture that came up when the PS loaded was scary. Ah well, hadn’t played it in months.

  7. The bucket? Well, the zombies have to relieve themselves somewhere, right?

I just hope all of them were bucket-trained…

    • ……

    • Hah, I was thinking of it more as a feeding bucket. And what do zombies eat?

That’s right, Arbys. And then everyone goes “Eeeewww!”

      • Eeewww!

I’ve honestly never eaten at Arby’s, although we have one or two around here. Aren’t they the “Eat mor chikin” people or something?

        • Thats chic-filet

        • Whoops, there I go, mixing up my rarely-visited fast-food dispenseries again…

They’re pretty much right next to each other over here, that must be why.

        • Hah, Arby’s isn’t that bad, it’s just not that great and expensive. I honestly don’t understand how they’re still in business. The one by us never has more than two cars in the parking lot.

  8. I had plans to move to Seattle to find happiness…

    not anymore!

    http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/living/2011/10/19/cnnmoney-missle-silo-home-new-york.cnnmoney?hpt=hp_c2

    • That house is AWESOME!!

    • Argh… I can’t see it, because I’m too lazy to update flash player all the time…

      • Man, what’s the deal with all those damn updates? Aggravating.

        • I know, right? Don’t you just hate them?

I’ve lost quite a few important files due to my computer deciding that it would install “updates” (for God knows what) without my permission, and would then reboot when I wasn’t there.

I’ve probably lost over 2 hours of my life waiting for Netflix and PS3 updates… I can understand Netflix updates, but why do I have to install the latest version of a game before I can play it? And if there are new versions all the time, why can’t the PS3 install them while I’m doing something else? But no, instead I just have to stare frustratedly at the screen as the update loads and installs…

Apologies for the rant, but this whole update thing is really getting to be an issue, I believe.

  9. Dave two things. First look at the tags on the review of the walkong dead book 1. Two look at episode 146 comments. I was the one who suggested the comic affecting contest and the dude person said it was a good idea.

    • Ah, that’s true about the comic idea. It’s a darn good idea, too! 😉 (Although I think I had already come up with that idea for my own comic at the time… but you are still the first to mention or suggest it on BotD.)

      • I mean, “the contest idea.” Don’t know why I said “comic” instead…

    • Hey guy. Thanks; fixed the typo on the tag.

Also nice suggestion on the comic.

  10. “What’s the difference between an insurance agent and a zombie?” “One bites your finances the other bites you!” 😀

  11. So any red vs blue quotes?

  12. Also, I like the examples you gave for when Insurance would be needed.

    • I’m really surprised no one said anything about the gangbang.
