The Bonus Features Episode 16

Bonus Feature Cliché Lookout: Behind the Scenes Problems

Accidents can happen anywhere, but when they happen on the set of a movie or television show (or a LEGO® webcomic about zombies), they can have far-reaching consequences, well beyond the victim(s) and their friends and family.

Don’t believe me? What’s the first thing you think of when I mention the film The Crow? If you’re like most people, it’s the tragic death of actor Brandon Lee thanks to an improperly loaded prop gun. You might also think of awful, awful sequels, but the less said about them the better.

While The Crow managed to be completed and find moderate success up release (and significant cult success later on), that’s likely only because Lee’s accident happened near the end of production. Had he died earlier in the making of the movie, it’s likely the whole thing would have been scrapped, affecting everyone involved with the production.

Kind of a dark backstory for a Bonus Feature, but there you have it.

About this Episode:

I really like this cop minifigure. He just looks like a smug jerk, and I love it.

Also, I just couldn’t resist adding a joke in the background. I don’t know why, but I’m just really making that poor zombie actor suffer. Even in death the guy doesn’t get a chance at dignity.

Other News:

Yatkuu’s incredible build of Shaun of the Dead‘s Winchester Tavern is picking up steam on Cuusoo, but it’s still got a hell of a long ways to go. Haven’t voted yet? Get on it!

And I know I’m beginning to sound like a broken record here, but still: 16×16 Challenge. Check it out. Build something. Enter. Win fabulous prizes and the adoration of millions of fans. Your life will be better for it, trust me.

I’ve placed a supporting vote for Shaun of the Dead.

is that headless corpse going to try attacking the officer?

Also, I’m still working my 16×16 Challenge entry and I think it’s beginning to shape up rather nicely in accordance to my planning and visualizations.

I wonder who wants a word with the officer? Perhaps we’ll find out in the next bonus features episode! 😀

You’d make a creepy commentator for those live breakfast TV shows, with the tendency to repeat yourself! 😀 And an even creepier interviewee! 😀

I’d make sure to just sort of stare off at a random point in space for long intervals too.

Is that zombie heading for the cop? I wonder if the men in blue taste like blueberries? lol

Hah. I probably should have made that more clear. That dude is dead, and the paramedics just dropped him.

that’s the trouble with the dead…….it’s hard to make them look dead when they’re dead…….finally………perhaps……..
