Zombie Cliché Lookout:
Sooner or later the characters in a zombie story are going to wise up and realize that, if they’re going to survive in the world of the living dead, they’re going to need to arm themselves. Depending upon what’s available this can be everything from machine guns and grenades to a simple baseball bat or kitchen knife. The best recent example of this is in Shaun of the Dead, it which the titular hero and his layabout buddy arm themselves with a cricket bat and shovel, respectively, to take out the sudden zombie infestation in their back yard.

  1. I wonder if Dave’s any good at coming up with something that resembles a nailgun? 😀

    • I nailgun would be pretty awesome to use to take out a zed., You couldn’t carry one on account of the need for compressed air, but it’d be a sweet improvisational weapon.

      I’ll keep it in mind.

      • Oh, I don’t know, a cordless, battery-powered nail gun could give our hero quite a run for his money these days! 😀

      • You know, I always forget they have cordless nailers nowadays, even though I’ve used them on a couple of occasions.

  2. does the newsreader play golf?

    • Ted does seem like the golfing type, so I’ll say yes.

  3. Typo, panel 4: “that the maintenance guy” should probably just be “the maintenance guy”. Or even “that maintenance guy”, but I think the first sounds better.
