There’s a lot of zombie stuff out there, and most of it is crap. People like to jump on bandwagons and produce quick tie-ins rather than investing love and effort into their creations. Luckily for you, I’m here to help separate the wheat from the chaff. Check back every Thursday, when I’m going to share the coolest zombie-related creation I can find out there on the web.

The Zombie Creation:

This weeks creation was created by 69zombieslayer and I came across this on Facebook on the Lego Zombie Apocalypse Facebook group. If you haven’t “liked” them yet I suggest you do. They do a lot of cross linking with bricksofthedead.com and equally love all things LEGO zombie.

So What’s Going On?

A few of my favorite pieces are used here. The Hazmat guys and a few different types of customized pieces used very cleverly. The atmosphere is a grim tone conveying a sense of desperation as a last stand is made. If you look closely at the border you’ll notice its shaded focusing the attention further on the chaos in the middle.

Considering the firepower they Hazmat guys are carrying its likely this is some sort of special military unit or perhaps a private security group making a stand outside a lab.

Unless I am mistaken those POLICE LINE tiles are printed from CitizenBrick and they look fantastic. They have the look of spray painted stenciling which is a nice touch. I don’t know about you but I cannot stand stickers on LEGO. I think most of the guns are from Brickarms.

Let’s Talk About the Zombies

Well this creation just goes to show that you don’t have to go out and buy zombies to have zombies. Since we’re looking at their backs it’s simply understood what they are. The fallen zombies at the front have holes going all the way through which I think most people use hot nails as a puncture (don’t try that one at home.) A worthy sacrifice for mini-figs you don’t like, hole’m and paint’m!

I suppose my only complaint about this creation is the Zombies and Hazmat guys are lined up a little too perfect in rows. Showing a downed Hazmat guy or Zombies breaching would have completed this but hindsight is easy. Its a lot harder to make things unorganized than organized when building. Aside from that its a great creation!

Have you seen a great zombie creation out on the web? Are you working on the next great zombie MOC as we speak? Well you had better let us know right away, otherwise we’ll never be able to include it here.
